Preeti Naik
Preeti holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology: Lifespan Counselling from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. Her practice is particularly drawn to Person-centered therapy, Narrative therapy, and Gestalt therapy, while also integrating techniques from Cognitive-behavioural therapy when appropriate. Mindfulness-based and art-based techniques are consistently integrated into her practice. Grounded in a queer-affirmative and trauma-informed lens, she has previously worked with a range of concerns associated with trauma, relationship and family concerns, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and stress. She’s passionate about the work of trauma therapy. She has been learning Indian Sign Language (ISL) to bridge the gap between the deaf community and mental health in the coming years. She hopes to lessen the stigma associated with mental health and thinks it’s critical to raise awareness about it in India. She aims to provide clients with a nonjudgmental space while remaining open to adjusting to different therapeutic approaches as required. Besides therapy, Preeti likes to explore different cuisines, explore the world of anime, and read non-fiction books. She likes to spend time with her close ones and indulge in art activities.
